That's definitely a new one! Although I've just checked, and... I'm not sure it's even possible for the chest to disappear? Are you sure you've actually gotten to the "find the treasure box" quest? If so, you need to examine the landmarks, in order, to advance.

I can kinda see what you mean. Actually, in the first draft her expression was a little "mean/sarcastic". That might have contributed too.
